The Corporate Director – Environment and Community Services presented a report to Cabinet which sought approval for the Council to act as Lead Organisation for a Coastal Communities Fund (CCF) bid in respect of the Morecambe Bay Coastal Communities Scheme to be delivered by Morecambe Bay Partnership (MBP) Officers.  The Council was already acting in the same capacity for an earlier CCF Scheme awarded in February 2013.

The bid was a competitive process with the application being for £1.62 million over 2 years to help reinvigorate the visitor economy and support economic growth around the Bay.
