Purpose:

The County Council administers the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) on behalf of central government. Funding is allocated by central government for the purpose of administering the scheme and reimbursing bus operators for carrying passengers who are eligible for ENCTS.
The County Council is required to publish the reimbursement arrangements for financial year 2015/16 at the beginning of December 2014 and the purpose of the report is to agree the rate at which bus operators will be reimbursed

Decisions:

The Corporate Director – Environment & Community Services provided an update on the performance of Concessionary Travel since April 2014 including the current budget position and set out proposals for the Cumbria Scheme for 2015/16 including the reimbursement rate to be paid to transport operators.

 

The draft Cumbria Concessionary Travel Scheme for 2015/16 was attached to the report.

 

RESOLVED,    that option A be approved as the 2015/16 Cumbria Concessionary Travel Scheme as set out in appendix 1 to keep the ENCTS basic reimbursement rate at 58%.
