Purpose:

Cabinet are asked to consider the recommendations put forward by the Cumbria Health Scrutiny Committee as a result of their recent task and finish group review

Decisions:

The Leader welcomed Mr Garrity, the Vice Chair of the Health Scrutiny Committee who was attending in place of the Chair, Rod Wilson, who had been unwell and was in hospital.  Cabinet sent their best wishes to Mr Wilson for a swift recovery.

 

Mr Garrity presented the report which outlined the findings of the Sight Loss Services Task and Finish Group which had examined how joined up services in the county were, sought a greater understanding of the prevention and awareness agenda and considered the gaps in suitable support.

 

Members were invited to consider the recommendations made in the report.
