Purpose:
To approve the policies and relevant text
changes in the draft Minerals & Waste Local Plan, in order that
the Plan and its supporting documents can be issued for public
consultation, in accordance with the 2012 Local Plan
Regulations.
Decisions:
The Corporate Director Environment and Community Services presented a report which sought Cabinet’s agreement that the draft Cumbria Minerals and Waste Local Plan be published for public consultation (a repeated Regulation 18 consultation). Appendix 1 to the report provided a summary of the responses received during the previous consultation, from February to April 2013.
A list of the draft Local Plan policies without the supporting text was provided in Appendix 2. The proposed changes to the supporting text could be found in Appendix 3.
RESOLVED,that
(1) the draft Minerals and Waste Local Plan be published for consultation in accordance with Regulation 18 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012;
(2) authority be delegated to the Corporate Director Environment and Community Services in consultation with the Cabinet member for Environment to make further editing changes to the draft Local Plan that may be necessary.
