DISCLOSURES OF INTEREST Members are invited to disclose any disclosable pecuniary interest they have in any item on the agenda which comprises
1 Details of any employment, office, trade, profession or vocation carried on for profit or gain.
2 Details of any payment or provision of any other financial benefit (other than from the authority) made or provided within the relevant period in respect of any expenses incurred by you in carrying out duties as a member, or towards your election expenses. (This includes any payment or financial benefit from a trade union within the meaning of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992.

(i) The total nominal value of the securities exceeds £25,000 or one hundredth of the total issued share capital of that body; or
(ii) If that share capital of that body is of more than one class, the total nominal value of the shares of any one class in which the relevant person has a beneficial interest exceeds one hundredth of the total issued share capital of that class. In addition, you must also disclose other non-pecuniary interests set out in the Code of Conduct where these have not already been registered.
Note
A “disclosable pecuniary interest” is an interest of a councillor or their partner (which means spouse or civil partner, a person with whom they are living as husband or wife, or a person with whom they are living as if they are civil partners).
Minutes: Mr P Dew declared a personal interest in Agenda Item No 6 – Grant Applications – as a volunteer driver for the Western Dales community bus service.

Minutes: RESOLVED that, The Committee exclude the press and public during consideration of Item 8 on the Agenda (Property Matters).

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING To receive the minutes of the previous meeting held on 14 June 2022 (copy enclosed).
Minutes: RESOLVED that, the minutes of the previous meeting of the Holehird Trust Joint Committee held on 14 June 2022 were agreed as an accurate and complete record.

CUMBRIA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AGREEMENT To consider a report from the Director of Finance (s151 Officer).

Minutes: Members considered a report from the Director of Finance (s151 Officer) which sought to determine the amounts to be made available for distribution on grants and fees for the 2022-23 financial year.
The Finance Officer (Children’s Services) explained that £50,000 COIF units had been realised. It was considered better to realise now than wait and receive a potential lower valuation.
A member noted that rents had dropped from £107,099 to £99,906 and asked for clarification.
Mr Towers remarked that 1 property had been vacant which would explain a reduction in rental income.
The Chair commented that there was a discrepancy in figures from with the Finance Officer (Children’s Services) providing £42,767 available and Ms Clements, Cumbria Community Foundation providing £44,744.60.
The Finance Officer (Children’s Services) noted that a written response would be provided to the Committee.
The Chair thanked the Finance Officer (Children’s Services) for their report.
RESOLVED that, 1) members determine that £ 42,767 (£ 38,879 on grants and £3,888 on fees) remained available for distribution on grants and fees for the 2022-23 financial year.

The Committee noted it was a very short lease and that in April 2023 Eden District Council would not exist to maintain the play area.
