To consider the transfer of Walkmill Woods to Moresby Parish Council on a 99 year lease with break options.

The Walkmill Community Woodland is a 36ha former mine site close to Moresby Parks and is an already-popular recreational area. The Community Asset Transfer is sought by Moresby Parish Council in conjunction with partners offering a blend of skills, experience and resources to manage and build on the success of the site. Those partners are Walkmill Community Woodland Activity Group and the West Cumbria Rivers Trust.
